MesoWest Networks

This table describes the various mesonets in MesoWest. Column names mean the following...

MesoWest ID: The mesonet ID utilized by MesoWest.
Abbreviation: The mesonet shortname/acronym utilized by MesoWest, click on an acronym to view the stations available in the selected mesonet.
Mesonet Full Name: The mesonet full name utilized by MesoWest.
Active Stations: The total number of stations in a mesonet that have reported at least once within the last 30 days.
Total Stations: The total number of stations in a mesonet, regardless of activity.

Local and regional mesonets refer in this context to a common method of data transmission to MesoWest.
Many different organizations may supply observations to one or multiple mesonets.
